School ERP pricing in India comes in four shapes. Knowing which shape you're being quoted is most of the negotiation.
1. Per-student per-year
The cleanest model: multiply your enrolment by one number. Watch only for what's excluded โ apps, migration, training and support should be inside the number, not add-ons. (eSchoolApp is this model: โน50 per student, everything included.)
2. Per-module
Looks cheap on day one because you buy three modules. By year three you own nine modules at nine prices, and the renewal negotiation is annual homework. Total cost usually lands higher than flat per-student pricing.
3. One-time licence + AMC
The 'buy once' pitch hides two things: an 18โ25% annual maintenance charge, and a server that becomes your problem. Cloud pricing replaced this model for a reason.
4. 'Free' software
Free ERPs monetise somewhere โ payment-gateway margins, ads in the parent app, or your data. Read the parent app's store listing and privacy policy before believing the zero.
The hidden lines to check on any quote
- Data migration and cleaning
- Branded vs shared parent app
- Biometric/GPS hardware and its AMC
- SMS costs (who pays, at what rate)
- Training and re-training
Our quote fits on one line: โน50 per student, everything above included. Get it in writing on WhatsApp.
